Who was Atiq Ahmad ?


Atiq Ahmad was a notorious gangster and politician from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. He was born on August 24, 1962, in Allahabad district, and was known as a "Don" or "Bahubali" in the criminal underworld.


Atiq Ahmad was involved in a number of criminal activities, including extortion, land-grabbing, and murder. He had a long criminal record and was also accused of running an organized crime syndicate that operated in several parts of Uttar Pradesh.


In addition to his criminal activities, Atiq Ahmad was also involved in politics. He was elected as a Member of Parliament from the Phulpur constituency in 2004 on a Samajwadi Party ticket. He was also a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly and served as a minister in the state government.


Atiq Ahmad has been arrested several times over the years, and in 2019, he was sentenced to life imprisonment in a murder case. However, he continues to be a controversial figure in Uttar Pradesh politics and his criminal activities have had a significant impact on the state's law and order situation.
